EMEM

Multidisciplinary art exhibition with EMEM Fest on the opening day.

July 6 – August 1, Trakų Voke‘s Manor, Vilnius, Lithuania.

The EMEM Fest idea is based on the impossible objectivity of manor‘s history, on the subjective memories and the surreal moment which is created by combining contemporary creations with the historical site full of memories of the past events.

EMEM – Elevated Memory Elevated Manor , the elevated levitating manor memory. This is an exhibition inspired by Trakų Vokes Manor history. Art creations placed in interior reflect the life of XIXth century manor. The manor life reflections is a vast definition and so we keep it like that. The artworks are represented following the interior usage, placed in the existing historical context create a surreal manor. As an extension to the finite memory of a manor and unrestorable history. The intersection of real and fictional historical facts creates playful emotion. EMEM – reversed – meme idea defines the emotion. Visual, interdisciplinary and performance art mediums are shown in the exhibition, along with musical performances.
